Source & Research Disclaimer
Where the information comes from
Every record in the Tax Acquisitions service names the source it was read from - a county, parish, state or other office, or another identified publisher - and the date it was read. Information is collected from those sources' public publications on a schedule and can be out of date the moment after it is read.
What we add
The Service may normalise, combine and enrich source information: for example standardising county names, adding map coordinates, FEMA flood-zone data, aerial imagery or tax-roll values from other named public sources, and labelling what each figure is. Enriched fields carry their own provenance. Calculated figures are labelled as calculated, and figures that are incomplete are labelled as incomplete.
What you must verify
Verify every material fact - availability, amounts, dates, legal description, liens, title, occupancy and the acquisition process - with the official source before you bid, apply or pay. A source can correct, withdraw or change a listing at any time, including after our last read. A listed amount is not necessarily the amount you will pay: it may be an opening bid, a minimum bid, an estimate or a figure that excludes interest, taxes and fees, and the Service labels it as the source publishes it.
Acquisition
Buying a property or certificate is always done through the official process of the office that holds it, on its terms. The Service is not part of that process and cannot guarantee that you will be able to acquire anything.
Use of source material
We do not claim that every source permits commercial reuse of its material, and inclusion in the Service grants you no rights to a source's material beyond what the source itself allows. Sources whose reuse terms have not been resolved are not offered to paying customers.
