Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information collects when you use the Tax Acquisitions service, and how it is used.

Account information

Your e-mail address and password (stored by our authentication provider, Supabase; the password is stored as a hash, never in readable form), and the profile details you enter at sign-up (name, company, address, phone). Your account's approval status and, if you subscribe, its subscription status.

Billing information

If you subscribe, payments are handled by Stripe. We keep your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, the plan, the subscription status, the current period dates and whether the last payment succeeded or failed. We do not receive or store your full card number. Stripe's own privacy policy governs the information you give Stripe.

What you save in the Service

Favourites, hidden listings, your watchlist and similar preferences are stored against your account and are visible only to you. Notes you leave on a property are shared with the other signed-in members of this service, together with the part of your e-mail address before the "@".

Usage and technical information

Basic technical information needed to run the Service (for example sign-in times and server logs kept by our hosting providers). Where enabled, simple product-usage events (such as "a property page was opened") are recorded against your account to improve the Service; they contain no free text you type.

Information in the property records

Property records come from public government and other named sources. Some public records include names of property owners or applicants as the source publishes them. We show source information for research purposes and do not sell personal information.

How information is used

To provide and secure the Service, manage your access and subscription, answer support requests, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for third-party advertising.

Service providers

We rely on providers to run the Service, including Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudflare (hosting), Stripe (payments) and, if you use the satellite map views, Google Maps or MapTiler (map tiles are requested from them by your browser).

Retention and deletion

You can delete your account from the account menu; this removes your profile, favourites, hidden listings, watchlist and notes. Billing records may be kept as long as the law requires.
